Research Area: Early Detection of Invasive Alien Macrophytes with Environmental DNA (eDNA)
Location: McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with regular trips to the MELCCFP office in Quebec City.
Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants should hold a PhD in environmental genetics or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a background in eDNA techniques, proficiency in bioinformatics, and field-work experience. Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
Job Description: The Post-Doctoral Fellow will collaborate with the Gregory-Eaves and Iversen labs, participating in both field and lab work. Opportunities to engage with strategic research networks such as the Interuniversity Group in Limnology (GRIL) and the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Studies (QCBS) will be available. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension for a second year based on performance and funding.
