Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree) in Health Economics, Decision Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a closely related field by the start of the fellowship.
- Experience: No minimum prior postdoctoral experience required.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of statistical software (such as R, SAS, or Stata).
- Working knowledge of disease modeling platforms (such as TreeAge, AnyLogic, etc.).
- Desirable Experience:
- Background in biostatistics, simulation modeling, or large real-world database analysis.
- Experience in clinical and/or translational research.
- Research experience aligned with the PREMIER Center’s mission.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Modeling & Simulation: Design, develop, and validate decision-analytic simulation models (e.g., decision trees, Markov models, microsimulation, and agent-based models) to carry out cost-effectiveness and health economic evaluations.
- Data Analysis: Lead biostatistical and econometric analyses using economic, healthcare utilization, and large real-world observational datasets.
- Evidence Synthesis: Conduct systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses.
- Dissemination: Draft scientific abstracts, comprehensive technical reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts; present findings at national/international scientific conferences.
- Grant Writing & Project Management: Assist with research grant proposals and career development applications; manage and review project progress and evaluate research outcomes.
