Post-doctoral Fellowship at Heidelberg University: Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow position within the project “Overcoming the Aggressor. Self-Perception and External Perception of an Actor Between Nations” at Heidelberg University. The project, led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Maissen and funded by the Daimler and Benz Foundation, explores the construction of national images of the enemy by aggressors from neighboring countries in Europe.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold a PhD, earned not earlier than 7 years before the application.
- Outstanding research agenda with internationally recognized publications.
- Excellent scholarly project with a comparative or transnational focus.
- Good knowledge of English and at least one language from East Central Europe.

Job Description:
- Conceptualize and implement an English or German-language book project over three years.
- Work with the academic network around Central European University Democracy Institute in Budapest.
- Participate in project events, workshops, and institutional activities.
- Conduct research in residence (at least 120 days per academic year) with eligible funding for research stays abroad.
- Contribute to the establishment of an international and interdisciplinary research network.
Terms and Conditions:
- Annual grant of up to 48.960 Euro gross.
- Contract duration: maximum of 36 months.
- Starting date: as soon as possible.
