Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Biology and Bioimaging: Centro de Ciências do Mar do Algarve (CCMAR) is seeking a highly motivated and talented post-doctoral researcher to join the EMBRC – JDA Atlas Project for a duration of 12 months, with a possibility for renewal. The successful candidate will work on the development of cutting-edge imaging tools to create comprehensive 3D multimodal imaging atlases of marine organisms.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology, bioengineering, physics, chemistry, or related field obtained within the last three years
- Strong background and hands-on experience in advanced fluorescence microscopy and sample preparation
- Experience with image processing and analysis software
- Track record of scientific publications
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research team
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Optimize advanced fluorescence microscopy image acquisition protocols
- Design and conduct experiments using state-of-the-art bio-imaging equipment
- Process, analyze, and interpret complex 3D and 4D imaging data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on various research projects
- Conduct routine laboratory tasks and procedures
- Prepare and publish high-quality scientific papers
- Present findings at international conferences and workshops
- Contribute to grant applications
