Post-doctoral Fellowship SNF: The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Neuchâtel is seeking a dedicated post-doctoral fellow for a three-year project, “Sea-Border and Air-Space Formation in the Interwar Middle East: A Trans-Imperial Perspective.” This project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and will be directed by Professor Jordi Tejel. Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a doctoral degree in history with a strong track record in Middle Eastern History
- Candidates expecting to receive their Ph.D. by December 30, 2023, must provide documentation from their home institution confirming this schedule
- Demonstrate a keen interest in topics related to borders, transport, and the interwar Middle East, particularly in the context of British-Mandate Palestine
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Produce high-quality research papers
- Proficiency in Hebrew, Arabic, and English is essential; knowledge of French is advantageous
- Familiarity with Digital Humanities tools is advantageous
