Post-Doctoral in Stem Cell Metabolomics, UCLouvain, Brussels, Belgium

Postdoctoral Fellow in Belgium

Post-Doctoral in Stem Cell Metabolomics: A post-doctoral position is available in a cutting-edge research group at the de Duve Institute, a multi-disciplinary and international biomedical research institute of UCLouvain, Brussels. Our group investigates the role of metabolic pathways in controlling the function of hematopoietic stem cells and leukemia cells. This research aims to open new therapeutic opportunities in hematology, regenerative medicine, and cancer.

Designation:
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Research Area:
Stem Cell Metabolomics, Hematopoiesis, Cellular Metabolism, Mass Spectrometry

Location:
de Duve Institute, UCLouvain, Brussels, Belgium

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in high-resolution LC-MS instruments (e.g., Q-Tof, Orbitrap) and mass spectrometry assay development is essential.
  • A proactive and quality-oriented mindset with a keen interest in biomedicine and fundamental research.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), with strong communication skills, and the ability to design, perform, and analyze experiments independently and as part of a team.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will pursue an ambitious post-doctoral project aimed at exploring the regulation of hematopoietic and leukemic stem cell function through cellular metabolism. The project involves advanced mass spectrometry-based metabolomic analyses and offers opportunities to work on high-impact research within a multidisciplinary environment. The position provides a two-year fellowship with the possibility of renewal, along with encouragement to apply for independent funding. Our lab promotes inclusivity and values diversity.
