Post-Doctoral Opportunity – EU-funded Project: The Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher within the EU-funded project eco2adapt. The project focuses on “Ecosystem-based Adaptation and Changemaking to Shape, Protect, and Maintain the Resilience of Tomorrow’s Forests.” Join a dynamic research institute in Solsona, Spain, contributing to advancing forest science and resilience.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Ecosystem-based Adaptation, Forest Resilience, Environmental Sciences

Location: CTFC, Solsona (Pre-Pyrenees, 120 km from Barcelona), Spain

Eligibility/Qualification:

  1. Master’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
  2. Ph.D. in Forest/Environmental Sciences.
  3. Capacity and experience in R+D projects and leadership capacities.
  4. Demonstrated computer skills in GIS and database management.
  5. Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced statistical packages in R.
  6. Proven experience in writing scientific manuscripts.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Job Description: The successful candidate will contribute to project design and development, lead forest data analysis, produce technical reports and scientific papers, participate in result dissemination, and attend project meetings.
