Post-Doctoral Position: Optimization of Electronic Waste in Bioleaching Process for Metal Recycling and Study of Biological Mechanisms

The post-doctoral researcher will work on a 24-month project, spending 12 months each at LGC-Toulouse and BRGM-Orléans. The key objectives include developing and validating experimental approaches, characterizing Quorum Sensing mechanisms in bioleaching stages, and identifying optimization strategies for the bioleaching bioprocess. The researcher will work with acidophilic bacterial species in planktonic and biofilm forms, evaluate the effectiveness of new molecules targeting QS, and study their impact on biofilm formation and bioprocess performance.
