Post-doctoral Position for 2 to 4 Years: The Saint Antoine Research Center, a collaborative effort by INSERM, Sorbonne Université, APHP, INRAE, and Université de Lorraine in Paris, France, is offering a post-doctoral position for a duration of 2 to 4 years. This position is part of an ambitious ANR-funded project focused on manipulating tryptophan metabolism for therapeutic purposes in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Recent PhD with technical expertise
  • Strong knowledge in immunology and/or metabolism
  • Authorization to conduct animal experiments
  • Skills in intestinal inflammation would be advantageous

Job Description: The recruited post-doctoral scientist will:

  • Investigate the role of the gene encoding a specific enzyme in inflammatory contexts, focusing on intestinal inflammation
  • Utilize wild type and knockout mice for evaluating the gene’s impact on intestinal inflammation
  • Employ various colitis models and multi-omics analysis, including experiments on primary human blood and intestinal cells
  • Collaborate with partners, including INSERM, Sorbonne Université, APHP, INRAE, and Université de Lorraine
  • Work in Harry Sokol’s Lab at the Saint Antoine Research Center, Paris, in collaboration with the ProbiHote Team at MICALIS Institute
  • Interact with senior scientists, postdocs, PhD students, engineers, and technicians
  • Achieve project aims and regularly present results to involved partners
