Post-Doctoral Position in Correlation Spectroscopy: ICFO is seeking a well-qualified, highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Medical Optics research group led by Prof. Turgut Durduran. The selected candidate will contribute to clinical studies and trials involving near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) for critical care applications.

Research Area: Medical Optics, Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy (DCS), Critical Care Applications
Location: ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. (or near completion) in Physics, Engineering (Electrical, Biomedical, Physics Engineering), or related fields
- Candidates with a background in clinical sciences are also encouraged to apply
- Proven experience in:
- Diffuse optics
- NIRS and/or DCS
- Participation in in vivo studies
- Biostatistics and clinical data analysis (preferred)
Job Description:
- Conduct and manage clinical studies and trials using NIRS and DCS in critical care settings
- Work on the continuation of the HEMOCOVID-19, VASCOVID, and REHAB COVID projects
- Collaborate with Parc Tauli Hospital (PI: Jaume Mesquida)
- Lead data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation
- Design new protocols and probes for advanced clinical applications
