Postdoc in France

Post-doctoral Position – (Tomography and Imagery): SOLEIL, located in the Paris-Saclay cluster, is the French synchrotron radiation source, offering a vibrant environment for multidisciplinary research. As a partner in the AIQuAM3D project, SOLEIL seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher for the ANATOMIX and PSICHE beamlines, focusing on applying artificial intelligence to additive manufacturing using synchrotron X-ray microtomography.

Post-doctoral Position – Beamline PSICHE and ANATOMIX (Tomography and Imagery)

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Materials Science and Computing for the AIQuAM3D Project

Location: SOLEIL Synchrotron Site, Paris-Saclay Campus, Saint-Aubin, France

Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in mechanics of materials/physics applied to material science or equivalent. Experience in tomography imaging, image and volume data processing (Python or equivalent), and knowledge in AI modeling, training, and inference.

Job Description: The postdoc will work on ANATOMIX and PSICHE beamlines, contributing to the AIQuAM3D project. Responsibilities include active participation in the user-support program, preparation for experiments, assisting users with setups, data acquisition, and treatment. The postdoc will develop the AIQuAM3D research program, conduct μCT studies of additively manufactured parts, and contribute to the development of software tools for real-time tomography reconstruction and data analysis.
