Post-Doctoral R&D Operations: Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Post-Doctoral R&D Operations Candidate to join their Vision Team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a two-year duration role focused on the development and implementation of new materials, processes, characterization techniques, and test method development within the R&D Operations platform.

Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in a relevant field (chemistry, physics, materials engineering, etc.) with a research focus on polymer physical chemistry
- Extensive experience with soft materials characterization, including mechanical, spectroscopic, scattering, and microscopy techniques
- Previous experience with instrumentation design, development, and validation preferred
- Proven leadership and/or significant participation in the scientific community
- Proficient in detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Experience with statistical analysis software preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Description
- Drive innovation of soft materials characterization
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to accelerate development and launch of products by creating novel material characterization methods
- Work with third-party suppliers and an interdisciplinary technical team
- Apply design of experiments, data analysis, literature/patent searches, and problem-solving skills
- Develop patent-protected science-based innovations to enhance visual performance
- Present at internal forums and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals
