Job DescriptionDesign and assembly of high-performance interface electronics, packaging solutions, enclosures, and computer code. Implementation of characterization protocols, documentation of procedures, and effective communication with industrial partners. Mentorship of junior team members, documentation of research findings, and project administration tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  2. First-hand experience in the design and characterization of electronic circuits and systems.

  4. Detail-oriented problem-solver and intellectually motivated.
  5. Open and adaptable mindset for respectful engagement with team members with diverse technical, professional, and cultural backgrounds.
  6. At least one of the following:
    • Experience and ability to develop, characterize, and troubleshoot microfabrication processes.
    • Experience in the design and implementation of interface electronics and printed circuit boards for silicon microdevices.
    • Experience with taking new instruments from the lab to the field.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Experience with developing electrostatic or piezoelectric microdevices.
  2. Experience in developing multi-scale physical and numerical models of material responses.
  3. Development of test structures for material and device performance evaluation.
  4. Programming of test equipment or automated measurements.
