Eligibility/Qualification
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or related fields
- Demonstrated research experience in protein biochemistry and cell biology
- At least 1-2 first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, fluorescence microscopy, and cell culture
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
Job Description
The postdoctoral position will involve:
- Conducting research on the phase separation properties of transcription factors in pancreatic cancer.
- Generating and validating GFP-tagged constructs.
- Performing high-resolution microscopy to study protein dynamics in various pancreatic cancer cell lines.
- Employing quantitative analysis to understand condensate formation and its relationship to gene regulation.
- Working independently on research development, manuscript preparation, and grant writing under the supervision of Dr. Chandra.
- Engaging in innovative research that bridges phase separation biology and cancer progression with potential therapeutic implications.
