Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience: The School of Psychology, Sussex Neuroscience, is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until August 31, 2026, located in Brighton, United Kingdom. The role involves investigating how low brain blood flow affects white matter cells to understand dementia development. The research will use in vivo 2 photon imaging and other techniques in awake mice. The starting salary for this role is £37,099 to £42,798 per annum.

Job Description:

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience (Ref 21865)

In this role, you will investigate the impact of low brain blood flow on white matter cells to gain insights into dementia development. The research will involve in vivo 2 photon imaging, measurement of brain blood flow, oxygenation, and metabolism. You will conduct imaging experiments, complex analyses, and present findings in various formats, including peer-reviewed journals. Collaboration with other researchers is an essential part of this role.
