Post Doctoral Research Grant – CNRNANO: The University of Oulu is seeking applications for one Postdoctoral Research Fellowship within the PRIN 2022 Research Project. The research focuses on developing a lab-on-chip sensor based on surface acoustic waves (SAW-LoC) for the rapid determination of olive quality and ripeness by assessing the polyphenolic content of extracts. The project falls under the scientific responsibility of Dr. Antonella Battisti.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields suitable for experimental research.
• Ph.D. in chemical sciences, physical sciences, or related fields with a minimum duration of three years.
• Consideration of recommendation letters, thesis/doctorate/work experience, particularly in sensor platforms, chemical functionalization of materials/surfaces, materials engineering, and proficiency in English and Italian for foreign candidates.

Job Description: The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a lab-on-chip sensor for olive quality assessment. Responsibilities include experimental research, utilization of sensor platforms, chemical functionalization, and materials engineering. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of the Italian language is necessary for foreign candidates.
