As a Post Doctoral Research Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research in archives and oral history collections in England and Wales.
- Co-writing a monograph and journal article as part of the AHRC-funded project.
- Handling relevant archival materials in the Welsh language.
- Contributing to the development of a directory of UK oral history datasets.
- Collaborating with the Imperial War Museum on educational resources for schools.
Essential Criteria:
- Completed PhD or equivalent in History (or a cognate discipline).
- Evidence of writing and publishing research papers, particularly for refereed journals.
- Ability to demonstrate significant independence in research.
- Experience with lightweight databases and spreadsheet management.
- Commitment to continuous personal development.
- Ability to read Welsh (Level 3).
