Job Description:
Post-Doctoral Research Program – Satellite Water Quality Modeling and Forecasting
The selected candidate will focus on:
- Developing national models for forecasting freshwater harmful cyanobacteria blooms and seagrass habitat change
- Utilizing Bayesian spatio-temporal methods, machine learning, or neural networks for forecasting
- Working with satellite data from the Cyanobacteria Assessment Network and NASA Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition Program
- Collaborating with federal agencies and academic universities
- Participating in a multidisciplinary team and presenting research findings at scientific conferences and stakeholder engagement meetings
