Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the SeeWandel-Climate project, specifically focusing on the evolutionary consequences of the recent invasion of Daphnia cucullata in Lake Constance. The research includes investigating whole-genome data, assessing spatio-temporal distribution, leading competition experiments, and integrating data to understand the impacts of the invasion on the Daphnia community and zooplanktivorous fish populations.
The candidate will conduct fieldwork, generate and analyze whole-genome data, lead experiments, and publish project results in peer-reviewed articles. Opportunities to develop individual research interests and assist in student supervision are also provided.
