Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in Physical or Life Sciences
  • Research profile and publication record within the subject area
  • Knowledge and experience of Raman and Infrared spectroscopic techniques
  • Experience with multivariate statistical analysis techniques
  • Desirable: Experience with handling and working with patient samples

Job Description:
As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, you will collaborate on the AICRI project, developing methodologies for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment outcome prediction using vibrational spectroscopy and machine learning. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will conduct research, liaise with collaborators at other institutions, and contribute to the All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB).

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate vibrational spectroscopy-based methodologies for liquid biopsies
  • Develop machine learning algorithms for cancer diagnosis and prognosis
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external collaborators
  • Conduct independent research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
