Post-Doctoral Researcher – Biosensing: The Biosensors Lab, led by Prof. Electra Gizeli, is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher position for the EU HORIZON-CL6-2023-ZEROPOLLUTION-01 project, AquaBioSens. The project aims to develop on-site biological sensing for aquatic pollutants and biohazards. The researcher will work on the development of a biosensing portable platform for the detection of contaminants in seawater, collaborating with partners in Dublin City University. The position is for 12 months with the possibility of extension for another three years.

Job Description:
- Develop a biosensing portable platform for the detection of contaminants in seawater.
- Utilize a 3D-printed device with an acoustic biochip, micropump, and paper-based microfluidics.
- Collaborate with partners in Dublin City University and potentially participate in field testing in Greece, the UK, and Ireland.
- Contribute to shaping the project and developing individual research interests.
- Join a multidisciplinary group and contribute to scientific excellence in biosensors and aquatic-pollutants testing.
