Post-doctoral Researcher (f/m/d): Join our dynamic team led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Sellhorn as part of the transregional DFG project TRR 266 Accounting for Transparency and the Sustainability Reporting Navigator (SRN). The team explores research questions at the intersection of financial and sustainability reporting, contributing to the evolving field of transparency and sustainability. As part of the TRR 266 Collaborative Research Center and the SRN, we are dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in accounting, finance, data science, and sustainability reporting.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead empirical research projects on mandatory and voluntary financial and sustainability reporting and its regulation in collaboration with doctoral students.
  • Conduct lectures and tutorials in our Institute’s Bachelor and Master-level courses.
  • Supervise students’ theses.
  • Present work at international conferences and aspire to publish in leading international journals.
  • Contribute as a team member to the activities of our institute and the Accounting & Taxation cluster.
  • Prepare for the academic job market with our support.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed PhD in business administration, economics, information systems, or a related field, ideally with a specialization in accounting, finance, data science, and/or sustainability reporting.
  • Interest and motivation in the research areas mentioned with initial publication experience.
  • In-depth empirical and data analytical skills and experience gained during your PhD program.
  • Very good analytical and English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team with a high level of commitment.
