Research Area

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Academic Degree: PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Exercise Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Cell Culture Skills: Demonstrated experience in cell culture techniques for mechanistic molecular biology studies.
- Lab & QC Experience: Hands-on experience in sample preparation, quality control, and data validation for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and proteomic analyses.
- Bioinformatics: Demonstrated training and experience in bioinformatics, including analyzing, interpreting, and integrating large-scale transcriptomic and proteomic datasets.
- Work Rights: Applicants must have full and permanent working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available).
- Child Safety: A current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to commencement.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Undertake high-quality academic research in collaboration with research staff and students.
- Publish research papers, articles, and reports in high-impact academic journals and conference proceedings.
- Assist with the supervision of undergraduate interns, Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
- Prepare and submit external grant applications while developing external research collaborations and partnerships.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and professional development activities.
