The position is offered in the Nanomaterials Group, focusing on high precision coatings of nano- and microparticles using Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience in thin film coatings, especially ALD, is beneficial.
- Expertise in characterization techniques such as Raman, FTIR, EDX spectroscopies, and scanning electron microscopy.
- Skills in engineering mechanical and electronic components of coating instrumentation, modeling fluid dynamics, and understanding chemistries involved in solid-gas interfacial reactions upon thin film coatings.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be part of the Nanomaterials Group and will contribute to the development of conformal coatings of nano- and microparticles with chalcogenides. Responsibilities include:
- Process development using ALD and CVD techniques for precise coatings.
- Characterization of coatings using available spectroscopic and microscopic methodologies.
- Engineering mechanical and electronic components of coating instrumentation.
- Modeling fluid dynamics related to the coating process.
- Understanding chemistries involved in solid-gas interfacial reactions upon thin film coatings.
