Job Description

The main goal of this project is to improve steel recycling and minimize reliance on primary iron through optimized steel processing. The post-doctoral researcher will explore the impact of impurities and cocktail effects on processing, developing strategies to mitigate the negative influences of trace elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both experimental and theoretical research.
  • Co-supervise graduate students and collaborate with PhD students.
  • Participate in departmental teaching activities.
  • Publish scientific articles and present research findings at international conferences.
  • Plan and manage your research project independently.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • High-quality publications and a quality PhD thesis.
  • An interest in sustainability and circularity in materials science.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is advantageous.
