Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD or equivalent in Materials Engineering, Process Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related fields.
- A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline is preferred. Earlier degrees may be considered under special circumstances.
- Relevant knowledge/experience in metallic materials.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in English, with additional skills in a Scandinavian language as an advantage.
- Interest in sustainability, circularity, and the role of metals in modern society.
- Experience in material flow analysis (MFA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) is desirable.
Job Description
- Conduct experimental and theoretical research focused on the influence of tramp elements on steel product quality.
- Collaborate with PhD students and supervise graduate students.
- Participate in teaching activities as necessary.
- Plan and manage personal research projects, publish findings, and present at international conferences.
