Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Investigate viral glycan assembly during infection processes in cultured flagellates and their giant viruses.
- Utilize various fluorescent labeling and microscopy techniques to study infection cycles.
- Establish siRNA gene silencing approaches to characterize the function of viral glycan-modifying enzymes.
- Work closely with chemists and bioinformaticians to link specific glycans with their synthesizing enzymes.
- Contribute creatively to the project while adhering to the framework provided by the research group.
