Eligibility/Qualification:
Required:
- PhD in molecular biology, biotechnology, or closely related fields.
- BSc in molecular biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or relevant field.
- Laboratory experience in molecular diagnostic assays.
- Excellent oral and written English.
- Availability to start within 2 months.
Desired:
- Hands-on experience with isothermal amplification techniques.
- Proficiency in designing primers, probes, etc.
- Strong publication record in diagnostics.
- Ability to supervise junior researchers and work independently.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Design molecular assays for detecting pathogens (e.g., SARS, arboviruses).
- Utilize rapid, cost-effective techniques for point-of-care settings.
- Collaborate with academic and industrial partners in Greece and Portugal.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary research and technology transfer.
- Participate in dissemination activities, scientific writing, and presentations.
