Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Molecular Microbiology or a related field.
- Strong background in molecular microbiology of model bacterial species.
- Experience with liquid handling robots and screening of bacterial strains.
- Background in cloning and protein overexpression in bacteria.
- Practical experience with Bacillus subtilis or other model bacteria is desirable.
- Interest in chronobiology (circadian biology).
- Ability to work collaboratively on international projects and willingness to undertake international travel.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct high-throughput automated mutant generation and screen for mutations.
- Collaborate with consortium partners at LMU Munich and the John Innes Centre.
- Learn and apply chronobiological principles and experimental techniques.
- Contribute to an interdisciplinary and innovative project in a productive scientific environment.
- Engage in research that addresses major societal challenges and contributes to fundamental scientific knowledge.
