Eligibility/Qualifications

  1. Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in molecular biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related sciences.
  2. Research Output: Well-documented research publications in recognizable journals (Web of Science).
  3. Experience:
  • Laboratory work on in vivo RNA secondary structure mapping (SHAPE method).
  • Data analysis and interpretation using bioinformatics tools.
  • Model RNA secondary structure using experimental data.
  1. Laboratory Skills: Required techniques for working with yeast cells.
  2. Research Problem-Solving: Ability to independently solve research problems and collaborate with a team.
  3. Language Skills: Very good command of English.
  4. Project Management: Experience managing research projects is an advantage.

Job Description

  1. Plan and conduct in vivo RNA secondary structure studies on a transcriptome scale.
  2. Perform bioinformatic analysis of data from SHAPE-MaP experiments.
  3. Conduct predictive and comparative analysis of RNA structure in vivo, in vitro, and in silico.
  4. Critically read and analyze scientific articles relevant to ongoing projects.
  5. Present research findings at scientific seminars and conferences.
  6. Prepare and assist in manuscript preparation.
  7. Work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
