Eligibility/Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in molecular biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related sciences.
- Research Output: Well-documented research publications in recognizable journals (Web of Science).
- Experience:
- Laboratory work on in vivo RNA secondary structure mapping (SHAPE method).
- Data analysis and interpretation using bioinformatics tools.
- Model RNA secondary structure using experimental data.
- Laboratory Skills: Required techniques for working with yeast cells.
- Research Problem-Solving: Ability to independently solve research problems and collaborate with a team.
- Language Skills: Very good command of English.
- Project Management: Experience managing research projects is an advantage.
Job Description
- Plan and conduct in vivo RNA secondary structure studies on a transcriptome scale.
- Perform bioinformatic analysis of data from SHAPE-MaP experiments.
- Conduct predictive and comparative analysis of RNA structure in vivo, in vitro, and in silico.
- Critically read and analyze scientific articles relevant to ongoing projects.
- Present research findings at scientific seminars and conferences.
- Prepare and assist in manuscript preparation.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
