Job Description
The Post-Doctoral Researcher will pursue specialized research, education, and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, designing, and executing experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the assigned research lab.
- Collecting and analyzing data for research sponsored by appropriate agencies and institutions.
- Providing technical and administrative support to ongoing studies in the lab.
- Identifying and selecting problems to be studied.
- Developing and troubleshooting new experimental techniques and protocols.
- Attending research seminars.
- Contributing to manuscript preparation and supporting technical writing.
- Participating in the preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
