Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Preferred: PhD with at least 1 year of postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals

Job Description:

  • Conduct research on the ecology of marine picocyanobacteria in the Bluewater Lab
  • Utilize a range of research methods, including lab work, genomic analysis, bioinformatics, and potentially oceanographic field work and/or SCUBA diving
  • Collaborate with the research team, including graduate students, undergraduates, and the PI
  • Mentor other lab members and contribute to their professional development
  • Prepare publications and present research findings at professional meetings
  • Contribute to the lab’s long-term research goals and potentially explore new research avenues
