Postdoc and/or Assistant Professor: The Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen is seeking highly motivated and dynamic young researchers for the positions of Postdoc and/or Assistant Professor focused on responsible machine learning. The successful candidates will engage in high-quality research, contribute to top-tier conferences, and participate in teaching and knowledge dissemination activities.

Research Area:

Responsible Machine Learning with a focus on privacy and robustness of machine learning algorithms.

Eligibility/Qualification:

For Postdoc:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Experience in theoretical topics within machine learning
  • Active interest in responsible machine learning
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken)

For Assistant Professor:

  • All qualifications for Postdoc, plus:
  • Teaching experience within Computer Science

Job Description:

The selected candidates will:

  • Lead independent research in responsible machine learning.
  • Collaborate with other members of the research group.
  • Regularly publish research results in top-tier conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and others.
  • Engage in research-based teaching and contribute to formal pedagogical training.
  • Share knowledge and engage with societal impact activities.
