Postdoc and PhD Positions in SFB: We are currently inviting applications for Postdoc and PhD positions in the project ‘Polygenic Adaptation’ at various research institutions. The project focuses on understanding the mechanisms of polygenic adaptation and its genetic and phenotypic patterns. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in evolutionary modeling, genetics of local adaptation, and more.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- For Postdoc positions: Candidates should have a relevant Ph.D. degree in evolutionary modeling or genetics (depending on the specific position) and a strong research background.
- For PhD positions: Candidates should have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field and a keen interest in polygenic adaptation research.
Job Description: The available positions include:
Postdoc Positions (University of Vienna):
- W2 positions in evolutionary modeling under the supervision of Prof. Hermisson and H. Sachdeva.
- 1 position in genetics of local adaptation under the supervision of Prof. M. Nordborg at the Gregor Mendel Institute.
PhD Positions (Vetmeduni):
- 5 positions available at Vetmeduni with various research topics related to polygenic adaptation, including characterizing adaptive architecture, genomic and phenotypic patterns of adaptation, understanding body size variation, and exploring non-additive effects and genotype x environment interactions.
