Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Textile Engineering, Fiber Science and Apparel Design, or related field.
- Hands-on implementation skills; specify in the cover letter.
- For Topic A: Prior experience with manual and/or digital machine knitting (Specify in cover letter).
- Strong track record of publications in HCI, functional textiles, material science, soft robotics, or wearable computing.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, willing to collaborate across disciplines.
- Independent, creative, and motivated to conduct research in HCI and Wearable Computing.
- (Preferred) Design-related interest or experience.
Job Description:
- Hands-on design, prototyping, and evaluation of new user interfaces and fabrication techniques.
- Publishing research results in top conferences in HCI and Wearable Computing.
- Leading ongoing projects and spearheading new ones based on expertise.
- Contributing to proposals for external funding applications.
- Supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
- Supporting undergraduate and graduate teaching related to the lab.
