Postdoc: Valuing and Co-creating Green Adaptation Measures for Climate Extremes

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in interdisciplinary environmental sciences, environmental governance, environmental economics, human environmental geography, or a closely related field
- Interest in hydrological extremes, nature-based solutions, and river basin management
- Background in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, survey design, interviews
- Experience in ecosystem services valuation and governance mapping
- Proficient in English and Dutch
- Strong ability to work unsupervised and with transdisciplinary teams
Job Description: As a Postdoc at IVM, your responsibilities include:
- Co-creating green adaptation futures in three EU water basins
- Mapping stakeholders and governance structures related to drought and flood protection
- Initiating and guiding continuous engagement among stakeholders in the Netherlands
- Identifying and evaluating monetary and non-monetary benefits of nature-based solutions
- Co-designing recommendations for enhanced drought and flood governance
- Producing project deliverables and attending project meetings
