Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in Physical or Engineering Sciences
  • University Master’s degree in Physical Science, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent
  • Profound knowledge and experience in handling large data sets and statistical analysis
  • Comprehensive skills with measurement techniques and uncertainty estimation
  • Knowledge in forecasting methods and machine learning
  • Extensive experience in programming with Python
  • High motivation and ability to collaborate on complex research topics
  • Fluency in communicating and reporting in English

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop lidar and radar scanning strategies in the field and analyze virtual measurements in numerical wind fields.
  • Analyze cluster wake mitigation strategies and atmospheric phenomena under various meteorological conditions.
  • Enhance forecasting methods and implement real-time forecasting algorithms.
  • Support extensive offshore measurement campaigns and process large amounts of data using remote sensing measurements, meteorological information, and operational wind farm data.
  • Collaborate closely with wind farm operators and researchers from various fields at universities and institutes.
  • Engage in project management, grant applications, and teaching tasks.
