Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD Degree: In Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- Background: Strong knowledge in molecular biology, cellular immunology, and/or vascular biology.
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
- Murine genetics and breeding strategies
- Flow cytometry-based phenotyping and sorting
- Immunofluorescence microscopy
- Statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Python)
- Language Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Design and conduct experiments using state-of-the-art techniques including:
- Flow cytometric analysis
- Immunohistological staining and imaging
- Biochemical assays for inflammatory mediators
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop a comprehensive model of atherosclerosis pathophysiology.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to high-quality publications.
- Engage in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and peer review activities.
- Actively participate in departmental seminars and workshops.
