Postdoc in Biology: The Hopp Children Cancer Center Heidelberg (KiTZ) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoc in Biology to join the clinic for pediatric oncology, hematology, immunology, and pulmonology, in the research area of Prof. Dr. Irmela Jeremias. The successful candidate will contribute to translational cancer research, focusing on acute leukemias and developing new therapeutic strategies for pediatric oncology.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biology, Molecular Biomedicine, Biotechnology, or a related subject
  • Strong experience in mouse work
  • Proficiency with lentiviral vectors and CRISPR/Cas9 technology
  • Experience in flow cytometry and mouse models
  • Enthusiasm for translational cancer research

Job Description: The Postdoc will be responsible for:

  • Working with a Xenograft mouse model
  • Designing, performing, and coordinating in vivo and in vitro experiments independently
  • Guiding PhD students and technicians
  • Evaluating scientific literature, writing grant applications, and publications
