Postdoc in Cancer Metabolism: The Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Postdoc position in the field of pancreatic cancer metabolism. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment and contribute to understanding the rewired metabolism of pancreatic cancer cells, focusing on its role in tumor growth and drug resistance. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for a duration of 2 years, starting on March 1, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or cancer biology.
  • Experience in flow cytometry, mouse models of cancer, and data analysis is desirable.
  • Fluent in oral and written English with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description: As a Postdoc in pancreatic cancer metabolism, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent research of high international quality, leading to publications.
  • Performing cell culture, including cancer and immune cell culture/co-culture techniques.
  • Analyzing gene and protein expression in cell and tissue lysates.
  • Conducting animal experimentation, including tumor cell injection, dosing, and tissue harvests.
  • Utilizing immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry techniques.
  • Assisting in proteomics sample preparation and data analysis.
  • Contributing to manuscript preparation and ideally fellowship applications.
  • Supervising a junior scientist in the lab.
  • Presenting research findings at meetings, conferences, or workshops.
