Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Sciences, or Imaging
- Experience with animal research (Article 9 certification or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with in vivo and in vitro models (e.g., MCAO, iPSC cultures, vessel-on-a-chip)
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques (qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, IHC, confocal microscopy)
- Programming skills (Matlab/Python) are an asset
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Job Description
As a Postdoc, you will:
- Investigate neurovascular processes and test new interventions to minimize brain tissue damage post-stroke
- Design and conduct both in vivo and in vitro stroke experiments
- Enhance microscopy protocols while addressing technical challenges
- Analyze large datasets to understand microvascular behavior during and after strokes
- Initiate grant applications for additional funding
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary research team
