Eligibility / Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree: A Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Core Expertise: Solid hands-on experience in organic and/or inorganic synthesis.
  • Electrochemical Skills: Practical experience in electrochemical methods (e.g., cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, electrode preparation).
  • Characterization Techniques: Strong expertise in standard analytical characterization methods (e.g., NMR, XPS, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD).
  • Language & Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills with a solid track record in academic writing and scientific publications.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with AI tools or data-driven methods applied to chemistry and material discovery.
  • Prior experience in supervising/mentoring bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. students.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary, international teams.

Job Description & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Synthesis: Designing and executing innovative organic and inorganic synthetic routes for multifunctional materials.
  • Electrochemical Testing: Developing, performing, and optimizing electrochemical measurements and experiments.
  • Characterization & Analysis: Analyzing and documenting material properties using advanced spectroscopic and diffraction techniques.
  • Collaboration & Dissemination: Working closely with interdisciplinary researchers, presenting findings, and authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications, progress reports, and project deliverables.
  • Mentorship: Actively participating in the co-supervision and guidance of bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. students.
