Postdoc in Complex Biomolecules: The Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences is seeking applications for a highly motivated and qualified PhD Student or Postdoc in the field of “Theory and Methods for Non-equilibrium Atomistic Simulations of Complex Biomolecules” within the Department of Theoretical and Computational Biophysics.

PhD Student or Postdoc in Theory and Methods for Non-equilibrium Atomistic Simulations of Complex Biomolecules

Designation: PhD Student or Postdoc (f/m/x)

Research Area: Theory and Methods for Non-equilibrium Atomistic Simulations of Complex Biomolecules, including variational free energy methods, thermodynamics of solvation shells, Markovian thermodynamics, as well as functional mechanisms of the ribosome, fatty acid synthase, CRISPR/Cas, or intrinsically disordered proteins.

Location: Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Department of Theoretical and Computational Biophysics, Göttingen, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:
PhD students should hold (or expect to complete soon) a Masters or equivalent degree in physics, mathematics, or any related field. Postdocs should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in the above-mentioned fields.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be involved in computational molecular physics and statistical mechanics, engaging in interdisciplinary research and collaborating with experimental groups.
