Study Area: The project focuses on homogenization of damage development in metals using crystal plasticity as the basis. The aim is to create accurate models for metal plasticity by studying micromechanical crystal plasticity in polycrystals containing evolving voids.
Scholarship Description: The postdoc will conduct research on developing continuum plasticity models for damage evolution in metals. The project aims to produce new and precise homogenized models for metal plasticity by investigating micromechanical crystal plasticity in polycrystals with evolving voids due to plastic deformation.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Solid Mechanics, Crystal Plasticity, Fracture Mechanics, Statistics, with programming experience in languages like Fortran or Python.
Required Documents: Applicants must submit a cover letter, CV, academic diplomas (MSc/PhD – in English), list of publications, and list of grades as one PDF file.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should fill out the online application form via the provided link and attach all required materials in English as a single PDF file. The application deadline is 17 June 2024 (23:59 Danish time).
