Postdoc in Interactions : The Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University (AU-ENVS) in Roskilde, Denmark, is seeking applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position focusing on aerosol properties and Aerosol-Cloud Interaction (ACI). The position is expected to be filled by January 1, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in atmospheric physics, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field with relevant specialization.
  • Experience in operating advanced instrumentation for particle characterization.
  • Proficiency in data interpretation using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with back trajectory analysis using different techniques.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary international academic environment.

Job Description:

Postdoc in Aerosol-Cloud-Climate Interactions (Experimental Techniques)

  • The postdoc position is part of the CleanCloud project, focusing on aerosol properties and Aerosol-Cloud Interaction (ACI).
  • Research will include a field campaign at Villum Research Station, Station Nord in Northeast Greenland, where ACI properties will be studied using complex in-situ instrumentation.
  • Investigation of the vertical profiles of aerosol properties.
  • Collaboration with an international team of scientists working on climate modeling and fieldwork.
