Research Area
The project straddles the fields of physics and Earth system science, focusing on the mechanisms of charge transport, especially in relation to Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) phenomena.

Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science, Computation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in scientific software development and computational modeling.
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Excellent communication and academic writing skills in English.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Develop a universal simulation framework for charge carrier dynamics in luminescent materials.
- Implement user-defined lattice structures for discrete electron- and hole-trapping sites based on defect distributions.
- Incorporate charge transport mechanisms and use machine learning techniques to optimize model performance.
- Validate the model with experimental data and lead publications in high-impact scientific journals.
