Research Area:
The research will focus on greenhouse gas dynamics within seagrass meadows, investigating how leaf epiphytes impact ecosystem functions under environmental stress.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent focusing on sediment biogeochemistry, greenhouse gas dynamics, or molecular ecology within seagrass ecosystems.
- Prior publications within molecular ecology and/or greenhouse gas fluxes of seagrass meadows are required.
- Experience with electrochemical microsensors, greenhouse gas analyzers, chemical imaging, and DNA sequencing will be considered an advantage.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Lead aspects of the research project.
- Investigate biogeochemical processes in anoxic epiphytic biofilms.
- Analyze carbon fixation and greenhouse gas emissions related to seagrass decomposition.
- Mentor PhD students involved in the research project.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- A solid record of peer-reviewed publications.
