Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required Education: PhD in chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry or materials chemistry (or similar).
  • Knowledge and Experience:
  • Proven proficiency in synthesizing organic materials, ligands, or molecules.
  • Experience in characterizing materials using scattering techniques (XRD or TEM).
  • Capability to link scattering data to predicted structures through modeling (using software such as Materials Studio).
  • Excellent English proficiency, including experience in writing scientific manuscripts.
  • Extensive research project management experience, judged based on the quality of published scientific articles as the first author.
  • Meritous Knowledge: General experience with framework materials and applications such as organic electronic device manufacturing or gas adsorption is advantageous.

Job Description

The selected candidate will engage in practical tasks involving the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of novel covalent organic frameworks. The primary goal is to develop an understanding of how COFs can be optimally synthesized, particularly focusing on the production of thin films and the factors that influence their crystallinity. The role also includes exploring applications and uses for the developed materials.
