Postdoc in Microbial Bioinformatics: The Microbial Interactions Research Group at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher specializing in microbial bioinformatics. This two-year fellowship focuses on understanding plant-microbe interactions and is primarily associated with the INTERACT and Wheat Alliance projects funded by the Novo Nordisk foundation.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Microbial Genomics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related fields
- Strong computational skills with experience in analyzing ‘omics’ datasets
- Familiarity with handling large datasets, including high-throughput sequencing data
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Python, R)
- Experience in meta-transcriptomics is an advantage
- Strong publication record in bioinformatics or microbiome studies
- Well-developed analytical and collaborative skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Contribute to INTERACT and Wheat Alliance research programs focused on plant-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions
- Advance soil microbiome analysis via multi-omics data handling and integration
- Participate in disseminating research findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
- Assist in acquiring external funding and involvement in teaching activities, including supervising students at various academic levels
