Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Microbial Natural Product Chemistry

Location: Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in natural products discovery, biotechnology, bioengineering, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with natural product chemistry and Streptomyces
  • Strong background in natural product chemistry with NMR and MS spectroscopy expertise
  • Proficiency in natural product purification using chromatography techniques
  • Experience in microbial fermentation, pharmacology, and antifungal assay
  • Advantageous skills in genome-mining, Streptomyces engineering, and antibiotic development
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Innovative mindset and a track record of scientific achievements

Job Description: As a Postdoc, your responsibilities include:

  • Optimization of antifungal polyketide production in Streptomyces
  • Scale-up fermentation and isolation of antifungal leads
  • Support in biosynthesis and pharmacokinetics studies
  • Assistance in animal assay
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary research team
  • Contributions to innovation and drug development
